Victims' Resources

Dear Victims of Crime:

As your State Attorney, I certainly feel that you, as a victim, should receive as much information as possible about your legal rights and the legal processes of the Criminal Justice System. The purpose of this section is to provide you with an explanation of your rights as a victim, the steps in the legal process concerning your complaint and the availability of services to crime victims through the State Attorney’s Office, as well as other agencies. Additionally, you will find a glossary of legal terms to assist you in understanding the Criminal Justice System.

Should you have any questions concerning your rights as a victim or any other problem, please feel free to contact the victim advocates in your area. Please refer to our complete list of advocates and their locations and of course, my door is always open to you and your family.

Sincerely,

Steve Meadows
State Attorney
