July 8, 2008 Bay County Man convicted in child porn case
State Attorney Steve Meadows announces the conviction, in Bay County Circuit
Court, of Lee E. Jones, of three counts of Sexual Performance by a
Child(child pornography).
The three males, three females jury deliberated about 33 minutes before
finding that Jones, WM, DOB: 5-23-1985, possessed three images of young boys
engaged in sexual activity.
Upon the return of the verdict, Prosecutor Shalla Phelps informed the court
that Jones is a registered sex offender. Jones also qualifies as a Prison
Releasee Reoffender. He was released from prison in 2006 after serving a
sentence for a prior sex offense.
Each count carries a maximum of five years in prison.
